Melton visited Whissendine for this division 2 game. Another warm evening saw Melton bat first and loose a wicket in the first over.

Paul Stevenson (25) and Lewis Marsh (34) accrued most of the runs both hitting 5 boundaries and the runs were topped up by Ben Redwood to gain  a low looking total of 106 for 8. C.Bates was the pick of the bowlers taking 4 for 22 from his 6 overs.

Whissendine struggled with the conditions and lost wickets regularly with only D.Selmes giving any real resistance finishing not out on 26. Melton’s bowlers took wicket regularly not letting anyone else get set and Whissendine finished on 72 all out. Lee Jones the most successful with the ball taking 5 wickets for 19 runs from his 6 overs.


Melton win by 34 runs.
