The 2014 season was successful for Melton Mowbray Cricket Club as pretty much everything went to plan.

Our 1st XI were successfully promoted to Division 3, captained by Pete   Humphries    with Overseas player Matt Worsnop contributing  over 1000 runs. Our 2nd XI maintained their position in Division 8 whilst good mid table finishes for our Sunday XI and Burrough League sides were a good environment for many of our young players to experience Senior Cricket and they proved up to the task.

The junior section has gone from strength to strength in 2014 There were four teams competing, an Under 11’s, Under 13’s and two U10’s teams.

In the middle of summer Melton Hosted their Annual 3 day Academy that saw an international flavour to the Coaching lineup including Darren Bicknell and Overseas player Matt Worsnop.
We continued our partnership with Darren Bicknell and the Belvoir Castle Cricket Trust. There was coaching for 20-40 children each week throughout the summer.

We are on the look out for new players this year too and we welcome new players to us to come and try out our net sessions that take place at Longfield Academy on Saturday’s from 7th February at 4.30pm.
