Two local cricket causes are after your votes to help them secure much-needed funding from the Lloyds Bank Community Fund.
Melton Mowbray Cricket Club and Belvoir Castle Cricket Trust are both in the running to claim £3,000 awards.
Melton is in need of the money to complete its 2013 nets and facilities project, while the Knipton-based Trust, which seeks to influence the lives of young people and special needs children through sport and education, is reliant on donations and funding to survive.
You can vote for Melton Mowbray CC at the Sherrard Street branch of Lloyds, by putting a token in the club’s box, or by texting VOTE LQLB to 61119.
Votes are being taken for both causes online at https://communityfund.lloydsbank.com by searching for either Melton Mowbray Cricket Club or Belvoir Castle Cricket Trust.
Anyone who votes online must confirm it by email before Friday’s deadline.
The Trust is currently lying third in the voting with only the top two to receive the £3,000 award
