This blog entry is to try to keep everyone up to date with club news and activities this week.
CLUB FUNDING – Most urgent news this week surrounds the clubs attempt to secure more funds. Over the next couple of years we will probably need £2000 in courses for a number cricket coaches, first aid, safeguarding children, and other essential club roles that we need to fill in order to fulfill all the ECB requirements. Courses are just one part of funds we need so Rupert and Jamie have been in touch with Melton Town Community Forum applying for funds for local voluntry groups. This application need support of all associated with the club and you can help by attending next weeks presentation and by leaving comments on the website http://www.leicestershireforums.org/mowbray/cfb-project,240.html The more support we receive the better chance we have of securing funding. There are some very encouraging comments so far, thank you.
JUNIOR CRICKET – This week was the AGM for the junior cricket league. Karl Tew and I attended the meeting at Grace Road to pick up our application forms for next years leagues. We now have the task of working out which teams we can enter with the current level of coaching support we have and for what free nights we have at the ground.
