Here we go . . .

Busy Weekend of Cricket at the All England Sports Ground

Following the first full weekend of play last week we are entering a full weekend of Cricket and fun for our Club.

Last weekend, a win for our 2nd XI and some fine individual performances started us off – 104 not out for Lewis Marsh who went into bat when the 2nds were in trouble having lost early wickets. Darren Smith backed up Lewis with a superb 6 wicket haul for just 35 runs (Darren Smith 12-5-35-6) and the pick of the first XI was Karl Tew who continued from last seasons success picking up 5 wickets for 53 runs.
Unfortunately our Sunday XI and our Tuesday evening teams games were called off as the oppositions could not raise a team.

This Weekend
It all starts tonight with the Under 10’s team who are hosting a collection of other sides at the All England Sports Ground – It’ll be a busy night so quite a spectacle.

The First XI will have their home opener on Saturday at 1.30pm where where our Overseas player Harrison Hayes will be making his debut. Come and cheer him along with the Team.
Our 2nd XI are out at Dunton Bassett and our Sunday XI will be travelling to Queniborough.

Bank Holiday Monday sees our Juniors in house club afternoon where there will be some Kwik Cricket (hopefully involving parents too) and a game of Junior Bingo.

The Clubhouse will be open whilst all these events are on so come along and enjoy the good weather.
