The All England Sports Ground has hosted cricket for over 150 years having gained its name from the All England touring side of 1855 and gained extra credibility with the visit of W.G.Grace in 1872 prior to the first contests with Australia.
Melton Mowbray Cricket Club Management Committee also run The Clubhouse.
The social aspect of The Clubhouse is something that the management committee have been very keen to build on over the last few years, and they are pleased to be the home of Melton Mowbray Cricket Club, whilst also being host to Darts and Pool teams together with Melton Football and host Sholay Cricket Club home matches.
The Clubhouse is completely run by volunteers so all help is appreciated if you have any time or abilities that could help the club please speak directly with Pete Hood or Rupert Smallshaw.
With the diverse range of sports and age groups throughout the year it certainly makes for a lively, vibrant atmosphere post-game and throughout the season. The Clubhouse can also be hired for private functions.
